Six year old Barkley is one handsome purebred Lab with a marvelous temperament. Playful and fun loving, 70 pound Barkley was raised from puppyhood by a caring family. Due to a busy schedule and growing family, this boy is on the look out for a new forever home where there will be more time for him.
Barkley is housetrained and just an overall good boy. Our trainer who knows him remarked that he’s a very smart dog. No one is a stranger to Barkley for long. Everyone is happily greeted with lots of sniffing and wagging. He’s lived with a senior Lab and gets along well with other dogs, although he is not one to share even a tiny morsel of food. While he thoroughly enjoys being with you, this well adjusted Lab is fine alone too. Regarding cats, he’s quite interested, but standoffish. Barkley loves almost everything about grooming: baths, brushing and even ear cleaning. Like many Labs, he’s got some allergies and does best on a particular food.
Pleasantly energetic and playful, Barkley loves to run and play outside. When it comes to creative exercise this character will walk on the treadmill without a leash! He’s an affectionate boy too. How he loves to lay his big yellow head in your lap and give you kisses.
“Hope you’re on your way to fetch me soon!” woofs Barkley with a happy wag.
