Banjo

Big boys don't cry, right? Well I certainly try to live by that motto, but ending up all alone at an animal shelter can certainly make a guy a bit weepy. I'm not gonna lie, I was very scared at first, but I'm getting the hang of it here, and I feel more like my old self every day. Hi, I'm Banjo, and I am approximately 6 years young. I've got the sweetest eyes, and the softest face that is chock full of funny expressions. Some of my new friends at the shelter are engaging me with games of "tug" and "keep away", and I'm getting to go on those fun "walkies" with volunteers and staff. I'm even learning some cool new commands - "drop it" is a new one, and I'm very good at it now. I definitely know how to sit for a treat, and since I consider myself a pretty intelligent guy, I know I could learn a bunch more commands if only someone would teach me. You perhaps? Not to spend too much time bragging on myself, but I had such a great meet and greet recently. I was so well behaved, good energy level, so sweet and affectionate, attentive to the adopters, and I just wanted to soak in all the love and pets that I could. I was FUN! The adopters weren't ready yet, BUT, that didn't mean that I didn't SHINE! I'm really an angel in dog's clothing. I even had an overnight at a staff member's house the other day, and she said that I was a wonderful houseguest. I was into snuggling! I can't help it, I'm a big love. I think my very best new home would be one with older kids and one where I can be the only pet. I've always considered myself the star of the show, the center of attention, maybe even the king of my castle. I'd like to be somebody's baby. Wanna meet?
