*** PENDING ADOPTION ***
05/17/06 - Bambi is finally on the path to recovery. She is finally getting the pneumonia out of her system and we are hoping with a couple more weeks of intense care, she should be healthy enough for her spay and then we can begin to review waiting homes for her.
04/30/06 - Unfortunately there has been a setback for Bambi. She came to rescue very weak and ill, and now she has progressed to Pneumonia. She is being heavily treated with antibiotics to attempt to get all the various illnesses under control but it will be touch and go for her for some time. If you would like to donate to assist with her vet care please send donations with "donation for Bambi" in the notes section of your check. Send them to:

Bambi is an 2-3 year old, smaller female, fawn and white, that was found wandering through a cemetery as a stray. No one came forward to claim her so the shelter turned her over to rescue.
Currently Bambi weighs 8lbs and is underweight so she is on a special diet to help gain weight as well as she has tapeworms and nasal mites so she is being treated for those as well. She will be in rescue for at least a month while she is getting better.
Bambi has an awesome personality, velcro type dog, wants to be with you all the time. She gets along well with children but due to her size, won't be adopted into a home with small children that could accidentally injure her.
If you are interested in this or any other dog being fostered by IGCA Rescue - Colorado, please contact our state Rescue Coordinator (Tracy -
