Ballou is a wonderful male Yellow Lab who is estimated at 9mths-1 year of age. Ballou came to the shelter from Magoffin County after his owners could no longer afford to take care of him. Ballou is a sweet boy but he is suffering from some depression since arriving at the shelter. He will eat and go out to potty but lays in his kennel most of the day like he has lost his best friend....which he obviously has. He will respond and let you pet him when you come into his kennel but he doesn't just come over to the gate if you approach his cage. Ballou is not scared or timid...just VERY SAD. Ballou needs someone to take him into their family and show him someone will love him again. Ballou is estimated to weigh around 60 lbs. and could stand to put on a little weight, though he is not terribly underweight. He looks to be pure Yellow Lab though we have no guarantee since we were not provided with that information.
