***URGENT CROSSPOSTING / THESE ANIMALS ARE STILL AT THE SHELTER IN NEED OF SAVING / PLEASE CALL THE SHELTER / TO VIEW OTHERS GO TO www.levycountyanimal.petfinder.com***........................................Hi, my name is Bailey….my friends and I are at Levy County Animal Services waiting for an angel of mercy to change our destiny and give us a second chance! …. Will you be my angel?….Instead of looking forward to tomorrow, I am afraid….frightened of what the next sunrise will bring….life or death is the only 2 options I will be given….can you imagine for just a minute….how it would feel if you knew you only had a 50/50 chance of being alive tomorrow?………. As you look into my eyes you will see feelings of sadness, confusion, and emptiness….My eyes are the doorway to my soul just like yours are…..except my soul has been disposed of by society …. You may ask why I have become unwanted and homeless ……..All of us here at the shelter have our own special stories to tell….the problem is….we can only speak with our hearts …..and in order to be heard….someone must be there to listen …….All I can do now is believe a miracle will come my way….I just pray it will be in time….Miss Arnette and Miss Jody have told me to hang in there, and they love me dearly for the wonderful boy I am….A small glimmer of hope is all I have to hang on to….as night falls and silence comes over the shelter….I sit and wonder which one of my friends will have to die tomorrow because the last kennel has filled up?….which gate will be opened? …..will my gate be opened to give me food or will it be opened to serve me a lethal injection?…..There is one more thing I would like everyone to know….the person holding the needle and syringe is not a bad person….he is not the “murderer” that you call him….he is the one who must keep us from starvation, exposure, and disease…. he was not the one who abandoned me ….he was not the one who didn’t spend the time and money to keep me safe and healthy….it hurts him to be forced to kill thousands of animals each year because of other’s irresponsibility…..he has no choice….he loves animals, and he does care…..he is an Animal Control Officer…………..Please take another look at my face and see if you would have room in your heart and your home to save my life!…….
