Baci is the dog companion for the outdoor enthusiast who prefers hikes or jogs instead of walks or for the person who looks for a reason to be outside in the garden or yard in any season. Baci is a 17 month, 32 lb. short hair neutered male who is housebroken, crate trained, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. He was rescued as a young puppy from Puerto Rico and selected for our hearing dog program. Baci is an extremely quick learner and has a drive/need to be busy with ball retrieving, a frisbee toss or just being a constant, attentive companion. He rates the highest score on our intelligence scale however, unfortunately, he is too active for the passive behaviors required of an assistance dog. He is not the laid back family dog personality that is usually the description of our release dogs. Baci is extremely loyal and bonds strongly to those he trusts. He may bark or be aloof to strangers which may appear to be protective, but a dog treat or ball toss wins him over quickly.
