Babe has bursts of energy, running after her ball in the backyard and playing with her squeaky toys, before hitting the hay for a nice long snooze (just wait ’til you hear how cute her piggy snores are). She’s calm inside, choosing to lay by your side or work on getting treats from her kong. Babe is a social butterfly and happily greets any new friends with full body wiggles! Babe will be your little shadow, but is also happy to chill in her crate with a kong while you’re away (as of now, she’s usually in her crate for 4-6 hours max). She is a smart girl who responds well to positive reinforcement training. Babe can “mouth” when she’s playful and excited, but is learning to curb that behaviour. With consistent training and guidance, Babe will continue to thrive and impress with her quick learning abilities. Babe loves to slowly strut her stuff on walks, sniffing everything on her path, and has developed some great leash manners and takes redirection well. With other dogs, Babe is curious but respectful of their boundaries. She can be playful with them and understands their cues. She’s also loved getting attention from children! Babe was pulled from the shelter days before she was due to be euthanized and is just looking for her chance at a joyful life with a loving family.
