07/05/24 23:23 DOG DAY OUT REPORT FROM LAST WEEK: Today I: went on a walk at Los Gatos Creek trail! I saw lizards, a mouse, two cats, dogs, bikers, runnersso many things! I am a chill boy though so I just enjoyed my walk and took in all the sights and smells! I walked two miles and then decided that relaxing at starbucks sounded like a good plan. I enjoyed a pup cup in the shade and then lots of cuddles from my volunteer. I was so tired afterward that I slept the entire ride back to the shelter. Three Words to Describe Me are: Cuddly, sweet, chill Notes from My Walker: Axel was a joy to take out for DDO. He hopped right into the car and was a very quiet, laid back passenger. We walked on a busy trail where we encountered lots of different wildlife, people, and other dogs but he just strolled right along. He is easy to walk and did not pull, he actually stopped a few times on the walk to enjoy some scritches and give some kisses. After our walk I took him to starbucks and he enjoyed a pup cup on their patio. He jumped up onto the bench next to me and we both enjoyed some shade and people watching. He will make a great coffee date, brewery buddy, etc! This sweet, loving boy will bring so many smiles to his future family! 06/13/24 23:25 Dog Day Out Report from last week: Today I: got up very early and my friend took me to the Almaden Lake Park. I saw and sniffed a looooot of things, had a pup cup and went to a dog and cat store and sniffed everything! My friend told me Im the BESTEST boy! Three Words to Describe Me are: SWEET, polite, well-behaved Notes from My Walker: Axel is an absolute sweetheart. Im so glad we had the opportunity to take him out and spend time with him. Here are some interesting facts I learned about him: He was super easy to leash and harness He loved the car ride and hopped into the car on his own He was NOT REACTIVE TO ANYTHING: walkers, joggers, strollers, bikers, dogs of different sizes, ducks - you name it He loved petting and would solicit for it He had the most adorable sploot He was a big fan of squeaky toys. He did well on the leash: he pulled a bit at the start, quickly tired, and then excelled as a loose leash walker. He TRULY IS a hidden gem. Many people we met at the park commented on how cute he is! I dont understand why he is still here in the shelter. He is a super well-behaved boy who deserves a caring home. Could you be the special person he's been waiting for?
