Austin

Meet Austin. We believe that Austin is between 8 and 12 months old. The shelter placed him at 1 year, but he barely weighs 12 pounds and acts quite a bit like a puppy. The reason he was deposited at the shelter? The owner said he wasn't housetrained. Hmmm, I wonder whose fault that was? Austin is a precious little boy, who apparently hasn't been handled much because he is nervous when being held. We have been trying to hold him at every opportunity to get him used to life as a Westie prince, his rightful life. It is working and he is enjoying being held more and more. He is really pretty well trained. He just doesn't know how to ask to go out. When we remember to put him outside every couple of hours, he does very well. Austin came to us with a staph infection, but is on the mend. He will be a beautiful little boy when his coat comes in thicker.

Austin would do OK as the only dog, but really would like to have someone to play with. Do you have the perfect home for Austin? If you give him a chance, I know he will be a good little boy.
