Auggie & Cody

Auggie & Cody are looking for a loving retirement home. Auggie (the bigger gray one) is 14, and Cody (the darker markings) is 12. Their Daddy, who they had lived with since they were young puppies, passed away at the end of May, so they needed to come into rescue. They are doing very well. Their Daddy had been sick for some time and was having trouble taking care of himself, much less the dogs. Toward the end of his life, Daddy had some help coming in and they responded well. While they are confused by all the changes in their lives, they are eating well and getting back into their housetraining. Cody has had bladder stones in the past, so he and Auggie eat a special food designed to prevent a recurrence of the stones. Both dogs love people attention, laptime, petting and play, so they would do best in a home where people are home more than they are gone, like someone who works from home or a retired person or couple. They have a moderate energy level, but enjoy playing and exploring, so a fenced in backyard is important. A permanent foster situation would be considered. Auggie and Cody are neutered, they are up to date on their vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped.
