My Story

Female | 1 year old | 55 pounds | Medium to high energy | Could make a good second dog to a calm companion | No cats, please! Shows prey drive | Does well with dog-savvy children | From Hamilton | Fostered in Bowmanville | Affectionate, sweet & a bit of a drama queen Here comes AUDREY! Just like the iconic actress Audrey Hepburn, she is stunningly beautiful. Sure, this AUDREY may not be as graceful, but she’d happily eat breakfast at Tiffany’s with you if you offered. Mainly because she loves breakfast. And dinner. And treats of all kinds. As you may have already guessed, AUDREY is food motivated. Thanks to treats, she is eager to please and loves training sessions. She loves food *almost* as much as she loves humans. Though she’s a bit nervous at first, she warms up fast and will quickly become a total cuddle bug.  She looks you straight in the eyes and wears all her love on her face. She’s 55 pounds but believes with her whole chest that she’s a lap dog. AUDREY is gentle and affectionate. Um, except with her toys. She will destroy any and all soft toys, so it’s only the heavy-duty chew-proof ones that will do. AUDREY can get some separation anxiety which makes her want to destroy toys, so may not be well suited to a 9-5er. AUDREY is an active dog who is on the higher end of the energy scale. She loves fun walks and structured playtime, and when playtime’s over, she’ll do a very dramatic sigh.  AUDREY has met kids of various ages (including sniffing some babies) and did well! She’d likely be fine in a home with dog-savvy kids. AUDREY could make a great second dog to another calm dog that’s a similar size. She can be hesitant passing some dogs, particularly smaller dogs. AUDREY also shows prey drive with local critters and for this reason is likely not well suited to live with a cat, though she hasn’t been tested. Interested in welcoming AUDREY into your home?
