Atticus

There are many stories in Rescue, and Atticus has one. Unfortunately, as is often the case with Rescue, there are holes in that story, but I am getting ahead of myself. Let’s start with the obvious details…the who, what, where, when and we can get the the why later. Who is Atticus? He is a Male Retriever mix of approximately 4yrs and 72lbs. What do we know about Atticus? He is so affectionate, he loves being around his people, Atticus is “best friend” material, for sure! Do you want to go for a drive to discover a new walking path? Atticus will happily jump in the car and go with you. He is smart enough to program the GPS to get you there. Ok, that is a little bit of an exaggeration, but he would be eager to join any adventure. Do you feel like staying in with a big bowl of popcorn, Netflix and your couch? Atticus is down for that as well. On top of this, Atticus is housebroken, crate trained, and good on a leash. Atticus is not great with cats. He chased to play, but most cats don’t appreciate being cornered to have a conversation about playtime. Atticus is dog friendly but he can be protective of his toys. Atticus has an old injury to his from leg, but it doesn’t stop him, he is very mobile and loves walks. Perhaps that is the why in our equation. His previous people did not want to deal with it. As far as the when and where…Atticus is being Fostered in CT and can meet approved applicants from CT RI NH VT NY & MA immediately, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.
