ATLAS "Hi, my name is Atlas. My foster mom tells me I am such a tiny little guy, but I think I am big! I play with all the other dogs here, and I can take their toys whenever I want! I like it when we are outside and the bubble gun comes out- I love to chase the bubbles. And I really like to look for worms (maybe a fisherman will adopt me, and then I could be in charge of the bait box). I am always listening for any trouble, and I am quick to tell the other dogs something's up. Then when I am tired, I climb up on the back of the couch and lay in the sun. I like to snuggle too, and my foster mom lets me lay in her lap like a little baby. I give her lots of kisses for that. Okay, that's all from me- I gotta go play!" Atlas is a purebred smooth coat Jack Russell Terrier. He was originally purchased by a family who was unprepared for the exercise and training this breed requires. He was surrendered to animal control, and then transferred to IDR, in hopes we could find more committed and knowledgeable adopters. Atlas was born 10/1/04, and he weighs 12 lbs. currently. He should not weigh more than 15 lbs. at his correct adult weight. He is a shorter-legged "puddin" style JRT. A home with a securely fenced yard is a requirement, so he will be able to exercise safely and abundantly. Atlas has a very submissive personality with people, and he will do best in a home without small children, and without a lot of people coming and going. He will make a wonderful, endlessly entertaining and loveable little companion for adopters who are prepared for this adorable JRT puppy.
