Meet Atlanta and Chicago Hello, we're Atlanta and Chicago, a devoted bonded pair of German Shepherds eagerly searching for our forever home together. We may have had a rough start, but we're hopeful that our next chapter will be filled with love, playtime, and endless cuddles. We've been inseparable since day one and our love for each other is unmatched. We were sadly surrendered by our previous family due to circumstances beyond their control, but we haven't lost hope that there's a family out there just for us. Chicago is the laid-back gentleman of the duo. He enjoys lounging on his cozy doggie bed, playing with his favorite toys, and taking leisurely strolls. Despite his known back issues, which are easily managed with low-cost pain management, he's always up for a short adventure and loves spending quality time with his humans. Atlanta, on the other hand, is our spirited adventurer. She loves a good balance of relaxation and mental stimulation. Whether it's exploring new trails or engaging in stimulating activities, she's happiest when her mind is challenged and her energy is well spent. Of course, she adores affection just as much as Chicago and thrives on human interaction. Both of us are intelligent and eager to please. We're quick learners and would thrive with a family who can provide us with structure, patience, and lots of love. We promise to shower you with loyalty, kisses, and all the joy a pair of German Shepherds can bring. We're ready to love you unconditionally A note about adopting animals from the Houston, TX area: Based on statistics, animals from this area are ranked some of the most desperate in the US. Euthanasia rates are incredibly high for both puppies and adult dogs. While this dog is protected in our care, there are many others waiting for their opportunity to enter a program like this one and be given a second chance. Our dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. Our Adoption Coordinator will help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $500 for those being transported and $75 for those being picked up at our Angleton Tx location. It covers the cost of transport and includes all vetting: DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, micro-chipping, a collar and leash, a complete summary of their medical records emailed to you, and many years of laughs and love to come! We have a team of dedicated animal care professionals that work day in and day out to bring every Little Hero out of their shell. From the moment they are accepted into our program we provide behavior & medical care to prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally training, and providing social enrichment. We provide socialization for our dogs through playgroups and one on one bonding time, where we will also work on their other skills such as leash training and basic commands. Our goal is to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts and just want someone to be understanding with them, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
