Athena is a very gentle and timid soul. She can be quite shy at first when meeting new people, but give her a snack or two and let her get a good sniff in, and she is a total sweetheart. She likes to sniff around outside but mostly likes to be near her trusted people and be held close.
Athena doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter but approved applicants with other dogs in the home will have to set up a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. She has not been cat-tested but can be upon request. Athena would do best in a home with older children (6+) only because she is so nervous.
Athena has good leash manners and is almost housetrained; only having accidents over long periods of time.
