LOCATION: Shelbyville, KY DOB: 3/10/2019 Introducing Athena: Your Bold and Loving Companion! Athena is a female dog with a heart full of love and a bold personality. She is fully potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. Athena is also crate trained and does exceptionally well when left out in the home, never destroying anything—not even her stuffies! Sometimes, when playing with toys that have squeakers, she will howl along with the sounds. Athena is always on guard when someone new arrives and will need proper introductions to new people. Once they sit down and give her some treats, she warms up and wants pets. She is leash reactive and very strong, so she needs an experienced handler. For now, no cats, dogs, or kids in her forever home. Athena has some resource guarding issues with her food bowl and crate. When she does something naughty, she adorably apologizes by head butting you. She could really use an experienced home to help her with these quirks, and her foster mama is working with her to improve. Athena needs a home filled with love and attention. A perfect home would have a fenced-in large yard where she can run and play freely. Athena loves kisses, cuddles, and all the love you can give her. If she likes you, she will sit on you!
