Aspinn

Meet Aspinn, he is a 7-10 yr old cream Chihuahua with lots of love and energy! 8 lbs. General behavior: Aspinn is a super fun, happy Chihuahua! He loves playing with toys, chews, catching lizards, and playing with other dogs (loves small/medium ones, does well with large, too). He's very sweet and is also great at napping by your side while you work. Likes & dislikes: This peppy senior likes getting treats (he's food-motivated) and loves playtime and being loved. Not sure about bath time yet, but the vet didn't mention anything. Training: Aspinn was recently neutered. He used to lift his leg but has not lifted his leg after his surgery except once to mark where another doggy marked in the house. New parents could use a belly band if need be. He goes out in the morning and does his business in the yard and goes out several times a day to potty. He never has poop accidents. We're getting started with learning how to walk on a leash, and he's doing great with his harness. He's food motivated so he's eager to learn and please. Aspinn doesn't like being crated and tolerates a playpen if necessary. He is okay with being behind a baby gate. Medical: Aspinn will only need his monthly preventative heartworm and flea prevention medicine - like any other dog. He is HW negative now. He has what appears to be a cataract in his left eye but I don't know much about it. He picks up his back right paw sometimes when he tries to run fast. Other animals: Aspinn loves dogs! He enjoys playtime and shares his toys well. Not sure about cats, but he's a little hunter. Children: Not sure. Home: Aspinn would do best in a home with a fenced-in, secure yard. Due to his small size, he must always be supervised when outside, even within a fenced yard. He seems to like to explore holes! A home where people are around is preferred since he likes being around people and dogs. He would probably bolt if given the chance, so please be careful with the front door. He is very adventurous! Grooming: Aspinn's fur is short and he sheds a little. He only needs his regular baths, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and nail trims. Overall: Aspinn is a very sweet boy and deserves a committed adopter who will give him a loving home with a doggy sibling.
