Aspen

Aspen is a cute 2-year old female Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on July 26, 2024 after she was picked up on Third Street in Beverly Ohio by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff. Aspen was wearing a nice girly collar but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on her collar .. And she was not microchipped. Aspen has a brown/brindle short smooth coat with patches of white on her chest/belly, white socks on her paws, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with soulful brown eyes, a narrow white stripe on her forehead, a slender muzzle, and semi-erect ears. This little sweetheart had a friendly, rather demure, personality when HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech Jared Nash spent time with her for outdoor photos on the afternoon on July 26, 2024. Aspen posed beautifully for pictures thanks to Jared's gentle touch and quietly telling Aspen what 'a good girl' she was. Aspen seemed very interested in watching other dogs which were being walked by volunteers that afternoon and was anxious to make their acquaintance. There was another dog with Aspen when she was picked up in Beverly Ohio, but her companion was not apprehended .. So perhaps Aspen was looking for him as she watched the other dogs being walked in the distance. Aspen weighs 36 lbs and isn't a very large girl when you see her in person. She doesn't appear to have any much walking-on-a-leash experience but made a noble effort with Jared by her side. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Aspen will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
