My Story

Billy's foster mom started calling him Arrow. (Maybe we've had too many pups named Billy come through the rescue!) Update 4/29/08: Arrows foster mom says Arrow is the smartest little boy puppy she's ever met. And she meets a lot of puppies! Believe it or not, he has not had a single accident in the house or his crate!!! That's truly rare for such a little fellow.

The resident 16 month old black lab BooBoo is Arrow's new babysitter and he goes out to the puppy pen with him. Arrow likes having a "big brother" to play with.

Arrow is very needy right now-he is very insistent about constant attention. It's understandable since he was found, struggling to survive, in an abandoned trailer after a major flood. The good news is that he loves everyone he meets!

Arrow is adorable, cuddly and brave, not shy or fearful at all. We believe there's quite a bit of hound in his breeding. Hounds make loyal and loving companions, and we're sure Arrow will make some lucky family a great pet.

Notes from our partner shelter: Billy is in foster care in New England, he is a sweet, very cute puppy that was saved from an abandoned trailer in Arkansas along with his sister Betty Sue and their Mom and about 25 other dogs. Their mother was an undetermined mixed breed. The puppies appear to be houndy, so maybe a little black and tan coonhound mixed in, but they are very mixed. Very outgoing, sweet and lovable, Billy would love a home of his very own!!

More to come on Billy!!
