This chapter receives only applications from applicants living in Texas and Oklahoma. If you live outside of TX or OK, you will need to contact our organizations Management Team first: [email protected]. Out-of-state adoptions are considered on a case-by-case basis. Our organization requires prospective adopters to complete an approval process prior to meeting with dogs in our program. This includes: *Completion of Adoption Application *Veterinarian Check *Reference Checks (non-relatives) *Home Visit Our ultimate goal is to screen and counsel potential homes to the best of our ability in an effort to find the most perfect match and fit for their lifestyle. Please keep in mind that color and appearance of the available dog is last on our priority list, and will have no bearing on adoption placement decisions. Please refrain from contacting members of our organization or asking about specific dogs/potential matches until after your screening process has been completed and approved. ***$300 Adoption Fee*** -------------------------------------------------------- ABOUT BRYSON: Rep: Kim Griswold / [email protected] Bryson is located in Sanger, TX and it is required that you travel there to meet him in person within 10 days of application approval if you want to adopt. We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home. Bryson is a drop-dead handsome black bicolor Australian Shepherd that was picked up as a stray by the shelter and never reclaimed. He then came to our program where we've had the pleasure of getting to know this wonderful guy! He is ~2.5-3 years old, ~40lb, fully vetted, crate-trained, and house-trained. He is primarily leash-trained, whereas if he does pull on the leash, he easily and quickly corrects. Bryson is a joy to have around! He loves people and is outgoing, fun, and lives life to the fullest. He is 110% "in" with everything - you want to go on a hike? Awesome! Car-ride? Make room for Bryson! Outside, he has a ton of energy and loves to run, fetch, explore, and catch a disk 6 feet in the air! Inside, he can settle and take a nap on the floor, couch, crate, and LOVES to snuggle... but he is always ready! (P.S. - he also loves water!) Bryson is absolutely bombproof with all other dogs. He has never been introduced to a dog (male or female) that he doesn't get along with. He is easy-going within a pack setting and is also surprisingly polite with indoor cats. He has been introduced (ON leash) to chickens and goats, and seemed fairly disinterested. Bryson is not sensitive to thunder, gunshots, or loud noises. His recall wasn't great, but has vastly improved and he responds almost always. Though he loves all people, he might be a bit too much for small children. He is EXTREMELY food motivated and is full of potential. He would make a great sport or adventure dog for someone. He is eager to be a dynamic part of your family, could that be with you?
