Arlington

Meet ARLINGTON, or Arlo, for short! But there is nothing short - or small - about this big guy. The biggest and sweetest baby to be found! Arlington was a stray adopted by a neighborhood in Arlington, MN and they chose to find him a rescue versus having him put down. He was loved by a neighborhood, and with no heritage, we have given this loving giant and name befitting his size. He is a freshly neutered male, under a year, topping the scale at 65 pounds and still growing! He is believed to be a Great Dane/Plott Hound mix, two very good family dogs in one. Arlo's coloring includes black/white patches and brindle on his face and back legs, plus a white tip at the end of his tail, which is always wagging! Arlington is learning home life for the first time and still shy with new adventures. He loves to play, but is still clumsy with his size, which is greatly entertaining, but so eager to please and great with kids of all ages, dogs of all sizes (favorite playmate in foster was an 8# doxie- he has a very gentle mouth) and does not have any interest in chasing cats. As a scent hound, Arlo is controlled by his nose, but with training classes and love for his family, he likely will not stray from home. We do ask that his home have a large yard or space to accomodate this growing boy, likely to top out around 80-90 pounds, or a family familiar with XL dogs.
