My Story

Aries is a young male Shih Tzu (right around 1 year old. He is beyond SWEET and loves attention. He has an adorable underbite and enjoys giving kisses and nibbling on your fingers but is very gentle about it. He likes to be where you are, but is also not horribly demanding. He's very calm for a young dog and loves toys. He hasn't been as desensitized to grooming as he should be, considering his breed requires perpetual grooming. He's not completely housebroken, but he is crate-trained and getting better at going out to potty. With patience and a set potty schedule, he'll continue to do well. He's treat motivated but also very aware of everything around him and can get easily distracted. He would love to live with someone who can lavish him with attention, but could also be firm enough to set some boundaries and gentle enough for his small size. It's important that a kind, gentle groomer be found to start working on grooming desensitization. His perfect home would be someone who is not gone for long periods and can give him the love and attention he longs for and possibly has another calm pet who can keep him company and show him the ropes.
