My Story

Looking for charm and amazing floof in your life? Look no further, Ariel is here! Ariel is a lovely mix of 78% Husky, 18% Alaskan Malamute, and 4% German shepherd according to dna test results! She’s about 3-4 years old and 50lbs. Ariel is floof and goof haha, but also very calm (for a husky) and happy just chilling on the couch after a walkie or play time. She also loves car rides, park outings and is a great coffee shop date! She does require a 6 foot fence because, ya know.. huskies. She likes to chat it up with her humans and play with her furry foster sister. Ariel is great with all people including kiddos! She is dog friendly but does tend to prefer non-bossy type doggo friends! Everyone who meets her just loves her! She hears she’s very charming and beautiful quite a lot! Ariel has to be fed a prescription food to prevent bladder stones, but not to worry because she loves her food and will be bladder stone free as long as she stays on it! PLEASE READ BELOW: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information. 2024 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match! **Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
