My Story

Meet Ari! She is fostered in Northern New Jersey but is available for out of state/out of area adoption to the perfect home! Transportation for an out-of-state adoption can be coordinated by our rescue. For more information about our adoption or transportation process, please e-mail our team at [email protected]. +++ Meet our Ari! Ari is a beautiful 10-month-old Black Lab Mix who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas before finding her way to freedom in the Northeast. Ari was set to be euthanized solely due to lack of space at the shelter - and her time was up. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to bust Ari out of the shelter. She is young, eager to learn, and has such a bright future ahead of her. Ari is loving, social, and playful. She is the true epitome of a goofy lab puppy. She would thrive in a home with an individual who is eagerly looking for a loyal companion - or with a couple or family who will load her with tons of love and attention. With such a social personality, Ari would be the first to greet new guests at the door at family or friend gatherings. On the smaller side for a Lab, Ari weighs about 45/50 pounds. She isn't too tall - and is the perfect 'pocket' sized pup. Ari is crate trained and is doing very well with her potty training. Routine and structure have been a tremendous help in her house-training success. She is eager to please and notifies you that she has to use the bathroom by standing at the front door. Ari walks beautifully on a leash. Her foster enjoys long walks with Ari. She loves to use her nose and is completely unreactive to other dogs or people on leash. She is a dream to walk and would be the perfect companion to keep someone company on new adventures, hikes, or trips. She is wonderful in the car when she travels with her foster Mom. Ari is a medium/high energy pup. She would greatly benefit from an adoptive home of someone who plans to go on daily walks (or hikes) with her. She LOVES to be outside and would also benefit from having a fenced in backyard. An apartment would not be a good fit for Ari. For the active adopter, Ari is your go-to girl for hikes, camping trips, and all things outdoors. She loves adventure and is always ready for a new experience. With her vibrant puppy energy, Ari brings a youthful exuberance to everything she does. She’s eager to please and quick to learn, making training sessions both fun and rewarding. Ari has not had any formal training but would benefit from basic obedience classes to help manage her excitement and to use her brain! But the magic really happens when the day winds down. Ari transforms from playful pup to professional snuggler in zero flat, finding that sweet spot in your arms that says, “This is exactly where I belong.” Ari LOVES being in the presence of her people. She follows her foster from room to room - and is equally as excited to curl up on the couch or in bed with her person. If you’re on the lookout for a gorgeous, and affectionate companion to share in all of life’s little and big adventures, Ari is waving her paw in the air. She’s more than ready to fill your days with laughter and your evenings with the kind of cuddles that make everything else fade away. Who knew the perfect adventure buddy also came with built-in snuggle features? +++++++ ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/210515484620146 +++++++ Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers!
