Hi there! I'm Arfy C., a 4 year old male Pit Bull mix weighing in at a sturdy 73 pounds. I'm house, kennel, and leash trained, making me quite the well-behaved gentleman. I get along great with children of all ages, other dogs, and even dog-savvy cats. However, a home without birds would be best for me! When it comes to housing, I'm quite flexible. Whether it's an apartment with plenty of exercise, a house with a yard, or even riding shotgun with a truck driver, I'm adaptable as long as I get my daily dose of fun and stimulation (walks, doggy daycare, and playing with stimulating toys) I know my basics: sit, come, and no, and I'm currently working on stay. Sweet, ornery, playful, and competitive, I bring a lot of personality to the table. I absolutely love car rides and can play rough, so having someone who can keep up with my energy is a must. I also have a blast with water and swimming! You might notice my "jazz paw," a quirky birth defect where my bone plates grew a bit weird. It doesn't cause me any problems, and I wear it with pride. I should also mention that I'm in the early stages of heartworm treatment, but I'm handling it like a champ! That’s me, Arfy C.! **SPECIAL NOTE: Arfy must be adopted locally within Springfield and surrounding areas due to ongoing heartworm treatment which will be completed at the Rescue One Clinic. No worries though - heartworms are not contagious from dog-to-dog, and he should not have any special needs related to heartworms after completing treatment!** My adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
