Ares is a 4 year old (dob 2/2020) German Shepherd looking for a new home! He and another dog were given up by a family whose kids went off to college and the parents worked long hours and no longer had time for the dogs. Ares is looking for a home with GSD experience. He is the type of dog who will bond strongly with his people but is not overly social with strangers. The previous owners told us Ares did bite a landscaper who entered the backyard unexpectedly, but he did not require any medical attention.
Ares is currently living with a dog trainer and learning all of his obedience and manners to make his transition into a new home as smooth as possible. He is used to and very comfortable being crate when people come over, as well as when no one is home. He is housetrained, loves to go for walks and hikes, enjoys swimming, and is a very good boy for baths. Ares would do best as an only animal and is around 90lbs. If you are home alone, this is a dog who makes you feel very safe!
