Archie

Archie is a 6-year-old 13-pound dachshund. He is full of character, smiles and good natured mischief! This one is a licker, so we hope you like kisses! He has been well taken care of and was well loved in his last home and it shows. Archie is a very nice boy, who is very affectionate once he knows you. He is very clever and figures things out quickly. He is friendly with other dachshunds and is currently being fostered with a male who is a similar age and they do great together. He likes to cuddle on the couch and has his favorite toy he likes to play with, but doesn't like any others. He is fully potty trained but may mark (just to start) in a new home with scents of other animals. He does great at the groomers when it's time to trim his nails. He can be a bit of an escape artist, not just out of fences but even things like soft carrier and with zippered items, he will use his paw to open them! Archie's labwork all looked perfect but he has an abnormal heartbeat (not a murmur) that will require an EKG/Echo so we can see if this is something that needs medication or if it's just a benign abnormality.
