My Story

male, approx. 2 years old, 40 lbs Personality: outgoing, playful, independent, goofy/funny, loyal, snuggler, rambunctious, energetic, easygoing, and good running partner. Meet our official napping expert, Archer! This snuggly ball of energy absolutely loves the dog park, play time, and going on long walks but is also a master of sleeping and cuddling - every morning after his walk, he curls up on the couch or back in his crate to take a long day's nap. If you're in a couch potato mood and prefer to stay in for the day, Archer is more than happy to cuddle with you as you watch your favorite movie or TV show. Archer loves to meet new people and especially loves his toys and outdoor time - he does well on a leash and makes a great running partner, too! When home alone, he does great in the crate. This smart boy has learned house training and tons of words, like paw, sit, down, heel, wait, and come. It helps that he's very motivated by treats and new toys! Are you seeking a loyal, loving, energetic pup to be your companion on adventures near and far? Apply today to meet your new best friend Archer! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
