***Currently located in Seattle, Washington *** Hello humans! I am April and together with my brother Reese we are the Easter Litter. Our mom, Lacey, gave birth to us near a construction site. This could have been a sad entrance to the world, but we were cared for sporadically by tourists and the construction workers. The kind care of those people gave us an early trust in humans and all the good they can do! Momma and the community members took great care of us, and we were pretty healthy and well fed! Some of our siblings were adopted out locally until it was just us two and momma. One day, more nice humans from a rescue organizastion called Surfers for Strays came and packed us up, and we drove away from the construction site forever. We've been brought to a shelter where we were able to meet lots of other dogs and some cats after our quarantine period! Since end of June I am in a wonderful foster home in Seattle! I am a very happy and outgoing pup with a wide open heart. I greet humans right away with facelicks and excited jumps (apparently I am not allowed to jump on them though). I also love to meet other dogs, as long as they don't come on to strongly. In general I am quite submissive, with humand and dogs, but I do have a cheeky side as well, especially when I get to know my two- and four-legged friends a bit better ;) My foster family also has a cat and even though I'd love to be friends, the cat is not the biggest fan of me. I wonder why. Currently I spend my days playing until I collapse, trying to find the sun in Seattle and sunbathing when I find it, enjoying consistent meals, and eating every extra scrap I can get my paws on (I am a growing pup after all!). I am super treat motivated! Also I am a big sniffer, I love to have my nose on the ground and check out all the interesting smells that there are. Since I am in my foster home, I have felt a pang of longing for my very own furever-humans to devote all my love and attention to. So, what are you waiting for? Please aplly to adopt me right now!
