My Story

Meet Apricot. You may remember the video of Apricot from Fulton County Animal Services, where she kissed the hand of the technician about to euthanize her, and captured the hearts of over two thousand viewers on Facebook. Obviously, Apricot was not euthanized that day. And here she is, enjoying the morning air at ARSF in Jacksonville. Apricot is blind, and suffers from an autoimmune disease that may cause issues in the future, but can be successfully controlled with medication. If you've ever considered fostering or adopting a special needs Akita, you might consider this beautiful girl, Apricot!
