My Story

Name: Apricot Age: 1 year old (estimated) Sex: Spayed Female Weight: 15.4 lbs (7 kg) Energy Level: Medium More videos and pictures: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/skjUJiYgcQhPsuqaA] Foster Instagram: [https://www.instagram.com/imbo.salgu/?igsh=MXNwZjkwZnNnYzhwNA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr] Rescue Story: Apricot was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Hongsung, South Korea. She is currently being fostered in South Korea and will fly to the U.S. once she finds a suitable family. The approved applicant will have a two-week trial period to ensure commitment and a good match. Here are Apricot’s personality and behavior traits: - With Adults: Initially reserved but warms up quickly, loves attention and pets. - With Children: Has not interacted directly with children but shows mild curiosity and barks softly at passing cars with children. - With Dogs: She is friendly and curious about both small and large dogs. Her tail might be tucked at first. - With Cats & Other Animals: No particular interest or fear towards cats and other animals during walks. - Alone Time: After being left alone, Apricot will look at the door for 1-2 minutes, then settle down to nap in her favorite spot. She doesn’t cause much trouble but can chew on wooden furniture if left unsupervised for too long. - Car Rides: Enjoys car rides, often looks out the window or falls asleep. Walking Skills: She responds well to leash training, walks calmly, and sits when her human stops. She enjoys 2-4 walks a day. - Bathing & Grooming: Stays calm during baths, is cooperative during teeth cleaning, and prefers towel drying over the noise of a hairdryer. - Vocalization: Rarely barks; instead, she whines softly when she wants something. - House Training: Fully potty trained, prefers outdoor elimination, but can use wee pads when necessary. Foster Family’s Insights “Apricot loves playing fetch and gets along well with unfamiliar dogs. She is naturally well-behaved and picks up new commands quickly. She thrives on outdoor potty breaks and does well with regular walks. Apricot loves attention and will follow you around the house. She is curious and quick to learn, following basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ within a day. She’s affectionate and adjusts quickly to new environments. Apricot is calm during baths but prefers to avoid loud noises like hair dryers, making her more comfortable with towel drying or natural air drying with a fan.” Measurements: - Neck: 11.8 inches - Chest: 19.3 inches - Back Length: 15.7 inches Adoption Information: If Apricot sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please apply here: [https://forms.gle/JDWQskWht1utjMf59].
