My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please download and complete an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Apollo Creed (CRE0923SOPMD) Estimated Breed: Belgian Shepherd Mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Just like Apollo Creed he is charismatic, intelligent and handsome. Even though he is in a foster home with lots of dogs of all sizes and ages and does fine, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home as he is very affectionate and likes to get all of the attention. Small kids make him a bit nervous so no kids under 12 for this handsome ham. He will need an active home with an adopter that is familiar with his breed, no apartments/condos pls. Apollo Creed is extremely intelligent, loves structure and is very food motivated. He also knows how to use a doggy door and he rides really well in the car. Please remember that young dogs require a lot of time, love, patience, and socialization to become the best canine citizens they can be. Could yours be the home of Apollo Creed's dreams? Submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
