Meet Apollo!! This handsome pup is a 13 wk old, Brown & Black Chow & Red Heeler Mix, weighing 15 lbs. His mother is a Red Heeler who is still living with it's owner who has asked us to help place these pups as they were an unexpected litter. Mommy has now been spayed and the father was believed to be a Chow or Chow Mix. Apollo is described as having a medium activity level who loves to play with toys and be petted. He is working on his house & crate training, is very friendly & social with all people and does just fine cats. We would like him to go to a dog experienced household and children must be 7 or older. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
