At ~1.5 years old, this charming & affectionate boy is bursting with personality and love, eagerly awaiting a family to call his own. Apollo's medium energy level makes him the perfect blend of playful & chill. He loves indulging in zoomies & playing with his favorite toys. He's an ideal companion for nature enthusiasts, whether it's enjoying a hike, camping adventure, or just exploring the great outdoors. Despite his stature, he's gentle & great with kids, though we recommend a home with older children due to his size. Apollo is also house trained and well-mannered, making him a delightful addition to any family. He enjoys lounging in his crate with the door open & doesn't chew on furniture or shoes—just his beloved toys. Apollo knows basic commands like “sit,” “lay,” and “no,” & is eager to learn even more from his new family. Having been rescued from a kill shelter’s euthanasia list, Apollo's journey has made him even more appreciative of love & stability. He’s ready to bring endless joy & loyalty to his forever home. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
