My Story

I think it is funny that I've been named Apollo. Apollo "was designed to be the perfect blend of superiority and moral virtue, harmony, moderation and reason personified." Huh???? All I know is that I am a very handsome young boy. Perhaps the "superiority" could be true but "harmony and moderation"??? I don't think so. My sister and I came to AGPR in August 2023. We were found wandering, returned to our owner and they did not want us any longer. We were young and foolish - only 7 months old...what were we to know? Anyway, a really nice lady took us under her wing, got us up to date on vaccinations, and asked if AGPR would take us in and find us loving homes. My sister Bonnie got adopted earlier this year and I'm hoping my turn is next. I'm a handsome boy who will moan and groan with delight with deep ear rubs. Oh, they are the most awesome!!!! I hope my new owners know how to handle a "teen age" like male. I can use a little work on my manners and a house with routine would be perfect. All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone! Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA
