My Story

Antonio and dozens of other little dogs came from a horrible hoarding situation. They were all completely and utterly unsocialized and could have been considered feral. It has taken a long time to build up their confidence and trust in humans. Antonio is very comfortable with the other dogs but people have made him nervous and unsure. He has made progress, though, and we are now able to pick him up and get him to relax on a lap. He is so cute that it is hard not to cover him in kisses but we respect his space and give him what he needs to feel safe. We have discovered that this little man likes to wear dapper sweaters when the weather is chilly and he looks adorable. Antonio spends a lot of time in our sunroom among a large group of humans and other dogs and he knows he can have a good time in there. We think he would greatly benefit from living with a confident dog who will show him the ropes. His family will need to be patient as Antonio learns what it means to be part of a happy home.
