Antonia

Antonia is likely the mother of Lucia and around 2 years old. She is a very loving and submissive female who would do well to have someone who would be willing to work with her on her neediness. She is eager to please and wants to be very close to you. She will sit still for a very long time as long as you have your hand on her, are rubbing her belly, or talking calmly to her. She and her daughter were clearly starved for attention; the attention they did receive was probably negative. Because of this, Antonia is very sensitive to criticism, but wants to love more than anything else.

Antonia has a lovely bark and does well with other dogs so far. She does have a spunky side as well- likes to jump up on you to get close- so we are working on the down and off commands. She crouches down to the ground when she is scared, but we are doing our best to build her confidence, reassuring her that she will never be hurt again. She is not destructive in her kennel and uses the bathroom in her outside run only- housebreaking shouldn't take much time at all. She has a rope toy and Nylabone but isn't too interested in either. She is likely to make a wonderful couch potato companion with bursts of playfulness- a perfect combination. Please email us with your questions.
