Annie is seeking an *ADULT ONLY HOME in a RURAL AREA, *with ANOTHER CALM, GENTLE, FRIENDY DOG. *Experience with dogs who are fearful of human interaction IS A MUST! *Must have fully fenced escape proof yard Annie came in with her friend Shorty. They were both removed from a back yard breeding situation. They didn't get much exposure to the outside world and didn't get much human interaction. Annie is about 2.5 years old. She is apprehensive of humans and runs away if you try to pet her., even after 9 months of being around humans, she will not allow any touch. She has finally started taking treats out of our hands. She loves hanging out with our dogs. Annie requires a quiet, patient home with a fully fenced, escape proof yard. Also must be With another dog, and no children! She loves dogs! Or adopt her with her bestie Shorty! She is almost house trained and walks on leash, but on walks, if something triggers her fears, she will try to bolt. She would be very nervous in busy city areas with lots of traffic, so quiet, rural neighborhoods would be considered first. If she gets away from you, you will never catch her. She is required to wear a martingale collar and 3 point harness on walks with a regular leash, to keep her safe. No retractable leashes please and no off leash dog parks.. She needs a home with persons who are experienced with fearful dogs. If you have never dealt with fearful dogs that are apprehensive of human interactions, please do not apply. She is not a dog that is going to be a loving cuddly friend right away. In fact it could take months or years, so we don't want anyone to push her and set her up to fail.. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Her adoption fee is $795 however we would like to have her in foster to adopt situation to ensure everything is working out.
