From Annie's current care-takers:
"Annie is an 8-10 year old cocker spaniel. We rescued her from a Newton family about 7 years ago, several children plus the mom did in home daycare. So she has been around children and other dogs. Since then she has lived with an older couple; "papa" passed away almost two years ago and "mama" is now in a nursing home. She was very loyal to them and of course went through a mourning stage when "papa" passed. Now she has lost Mayme also and has been lonely and confused.

She is large sized for a cocker and very strong; sometimes easily excited and other times very mellow. She has been living alone in her house with neighbors and family visiting several times a day to potty her and check food and water. She has done well, no destruction or accidents.

She is up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm meds, was just bathed and cut last week. Has been very well taken care of. Needs a fenced in yard to run (she can be quite adept at escaping!) Walks well on a leash. She came from a family with small children and they never had any problems with her, she played in the fenced in yard with them.

She may be better off with another older couple, but since she is so solid and strong, I would recommend a fenced in yard. Mayme could not walk her on a leash because of her strength. When I walked her I had no problems except she likes to be the leader. But she does love to go for walks, she gets so excited it's hard to get her leash connected!"

Annie's adoption donation is $95 which includes her spay, microchipping, deworming, and shots. Please call or e-mail the PALS contact information located below to find out more about making this sweetheart a part of your family!

ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member.

ADOPTION DONATIONS: Adoption donations for PALS animals go directly either to medical care for those or other furkids in need, or towards maintenance, supplies, and improvement of the newly-built shelter!
