Annie is one cute little girl. When she arrived at the shelter she was very matted so they shaved her down before coming to Homes Fur Hounds, so we don't know exactly what she looks like with her longer hair, but we saw in a picture that it was wavy. Our vet is guessing she is 2-3 years old and maybe a Schnauzer mix.
The foster mom has reported that she is very friendly, housebroken and gets along with other dogs. She even likes her big 80 pound chocolate lab neighbor dog. She actually ran around and played with him. We don't know how she will do with cats but she didn't pay any attention to them at the vet's office.
She does like people and will follow you from room to room, but will sleep in a crate by herself at night. She is not great on a leash yet, but she is learning. We just think she is going to make a great pet for someone since she is so friendly, housebroken and good with other dogs. We don't get a lot of dogs here with all of those qualities.
She is vaccinated, HW negative, micro-chipped and will be spayed on Tuesday, August 6th. She will then be ready to leave.
If you are interested in Annie her application can be found at www.homesfurhounds.org. She is located in Williamsburg.
