Annabelle

Annabelle must go to a home with a 6 foot privacy fence, no small children, no other dogs, and within 2 hours from the Kansas City metro area. We will not make exceptions to these restrictions. Please do extensive research on this breed before considering adoption. Dogue de Bordeauxs are exceptional canines, but perhaps not for the novice dog owner.

This is Annabelle- she is two years young, and was on her second litter of puppies when she was found tied to a tree, starving, giving everything she had to the four remaining surviving puppies she was attending to. Her four babies have recently been adopted, and now it is momma's turn.

Despite having lived her short two years on the end of a rope in the brutal outdoors, she almost instantly became housebroken and crate-trained, completely appreciative of this second chance at the good life. She is steadily gaining weight and was spayed- she could stand to gain another 15 pounds. She has a very petite frame for a Bordeaux Bulldog, and will probably be around 75-80 pounds eventually. She has a natural protective nature as she is a mastiff and is totally dedicated to her family.

Annabelle can sit and give paw, she enjoys sleeping on top of her foster dad as he watches tv (she is a LAP DOG to the extreme!), she loves going for walks and car rides, and bonds tightly to her people.

We are looking for a dedicated, responsible, knowledgable, loving, active family who will provide structure, stability and the good life to a wonderful dog who will love her new people with all her being.
