Angus has found his forever home with Tracy and Barry in Norwood, MA
UPDATE 5/18:Angus is being fostered in Walpole, MA
Angus is a 2.5 year old Border Collie Mix weighing 30 pounds. He was found as a stray in the south and adopted to a home in New England in 11/08. Unfortunately, he was given back to us 5/1/10 because he very occasionally would nip. His nips did not cause any harm, and usually occurred when he was being asked to do something he didn't want to do. The family was concerned just because there may be granchildren in the near future, so felt he should be rehomed. He is now in a foster home in Walpole with 6 other dogs and doing very well. He is being trained in respect for his humans and he is doing great! He loves to run and play with other dogs. He is fine with cats, and is house and crate trained. He is very obedient, generally comes when called, sits when commanded to, and stays on command as well. He is trained to the invisible fence. br>
This dog is very sweet, very beautiful and very responsive to firm leadership. We think he will be fine if he gets enough exercise and is in a home with people with no small children and with dog experience. He will need a fenced or invisibly fenced yard, and ideally another dog for him to play with. He would likely be great at agility training. We hope there is a family willing to give this dog another chance at having a forever home. He is such a sweet boy. His adoption fee is $300.
Please complete an
online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
