I was found with Brad in a tiny cage in the summer, abandoned outside behind a building in back of a race track. We were lucky as we had been there some time before we were found. Probably were breeding dogs abandoned when we were of no more use, we were very traumatized by this ordeal, and did not trust people after that.
I especially have come a long way, I am a Long Haired Chihuahua and thought to be about 5 years old by the vet who saw me after. I was spayed, heartworm tested negative, given my vaccines Max 5, Bordatella, and Rabies. Dewormed & defleaed. I need a very special person to work with me on my trust issues, but it now only takes me a few minutes til I get used to a person and allow myself to be held.
Not for a home with kids, I am looking for peace and quiet and security. I LOVE being held but am scared of strangers—tho I am gradually learning to warm up to people. I have fluffy long hair. I have great potential if a quiet, small- dog experienced person will give me a chance!
