Angel

ADOPTED! Angel weighs 35-40 lbs. and she is a Sheltie/Spitz mix who is about 3 years old. Hers is an especially heartwrenching story. Angel's owner was in tears when he turned her into an overcrowded shelter. You see, he was called to duty to serve his country, and he had no family to care for his beloved dog while he was gone. So--when he brought Angel to the shelter--all he asked was for someone to find her a good home. To save her life, we have temporarily taken her in to our rescue program, but we are desperately hoping that someone with a kind heart will see her here on Petfinder and be the "angel" that this soldier's dog needs. If someone can find it in their heart to fulfill a soldier's wish--to give Angel a loving, permanent home--we know this soldier would be very grateful. Angel loves every person she meets and is very good with other dogs, but--unfortunately--she does not get along with cats. (Angel also requires a 6 foot fence, as she can jump over a 4 foot fence. We think she would make a GREAT agility dog!) Angel is up to date on immunizations and has been spayed and heartworm tested. She has also been wormed and microchipped. Angel's adoption fee is $225. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked.
