Andy is a golden reteriever that was running along the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens and finally ran out of energy and was taken to a high kill NYC shelter. Due to his emaciated (28 pounds at that point), pathetic state and his age, he was on the euthanasia list.
We have since rescued Andy and have fed him frequent small meals, treated him with antibiotics and supplied lots and lots of love.
We need someone to help us give Andy more, either foster or permanent, Andy deserves a home.
His age is estimated at 7-9, hard to say due to his emaciated state. He is a friendly, grateful pup that needs a kind, experienced, quite home that will help him continue to gain weight and confidence. We hope to find that special person very soon for him.
