My Story

Meet Andy, Andy is our sweet, friendly, affectionate 5-year-old female Jindo mix, weighing 36 pounds. Andy was rescued from a fire that burned down the Uljin City Shelter in Korea. Through our rescue partner, we have taken in over a dozen dogs from this rescue mission. Here at Korean K9 Rescue, we envision a world where dogs live happy and free. All dogs rescued in South Korea go to our Rehabilitation Center in Bundang, where they receive the care, love, training and support they need for their new life. Each dog's journey is different, and we monitor their health, learn their personality, and give them the training, tools, and confidence they need to succeed. Each pup only makes its journey to NYC when it is ready. When Adopting sweet Andy, know she has been loved, cared for, and trained. All we ask is that you make space in your home and heart for her to be a part of your family. Since arriving in NYC, Andy's very confident and sweet personality has been shining through. When walking by other dogs with her Foster family, she'll be interested and playful, but if she sees over-excitement or anxiety, won't engage and continue to walk. Very impressive!
