My Story

Amy is a beautiful beagle and boxer mix who is 3 years old and weighs 34 pounds. Before coming to her foster home, Amy had a rough start. We believe she lived in an outside kennel producing puppies for a backyard breeder. She was then abandoned at a scary, overcrowded shelter. Since being rescued, Amy's foster mom says she is happy and enjoys all the finer things a good dog deserves. She is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Amy has never had any accidents in the house. She does well with the two resident beagles and loves her foster mom and dad. Another new experience in her foster home is a daily leash walk and she is learning to enjoy it and doing better every day. She rides great in a car and sleeps all night without a peep. Amy is such a good girl that she can spend her days loose in the house while the humans are at work. She always uses the doggy door to potty outside. Amy has just started picking up toys and playing with them. It’s fun watching this happy girl blossom. She is a little shy at first when meeting new people but warms up after a few minutes. Once she knows you, she is your best friend. She loves to be petted and get attention. Amy will need a fenced yard as she loves playing in the yard, lying in the sun and sniffing all the good smells. Amy is fully vetted. She has been spayed, had a dental, all vaccines are UTD and is microchipped. If you have love and time to give and a fenced yard (we'll check!) and think Amy might be the one for you, please go to www.beagelsrus.org, read over the Adoption Process and then complete an application. PLEASE DO NOT Click the Begin Inquiry Button on this page (thank you). We will be in touch to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet if you would like. We will contact your vet and do a home visit prior to adoption. Beagles R Us offers a trial run option to ensure that you and your beagles are a good fit for each other for a happily-ever-after life together. Thank you for opting to help a homeless beagle.
