AMOS has soft brown eyes, all knowing, gentle yet playful, and energy to burn, attentive, happy, and a talker...his favorite phrase being - me me me me me! He is trustworthy to come when called, a bit bouncy in the vehicle but that is rectified with a seat belt harness and he travels well. He plays well with older children 14 and up but as with any dog that plays with children, there should be supervision.
AMOS has no understanding of vehicles. He has never been tied out or chained while here. He is quite good on a leash but would benefit from an obedience refresher course. He is always forgiving if I am a bit firm with my voice, he comes by my side in that special quiet demeanor that he has when he understands he has to do as requested.
AMOS has been introduced to kitties - I think however that he not have time alone with cats as he is always trying to instigate play. He was raised with a cat according the profile I have on hand, however he steers clear of my kitty Patience and I never let him chase other animals that come into the yard. He has a bark that varies with whatever he thinks is happening in his private and personal environment. AMOS will let you know when there is something amuck or there is company at the gate or vehicles coming up the drive. He has a special alerting bark for that.
AMOS has been living at the boarding kennel where he was abandoned by his family. AMOS was a constant companion for one of my old sheperds whom crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year. AMOS and Sheba were kenneled beside each other and roamed the fenced yard together in all types of weather. He does have some anxiety if there are thunderstorms approaching.

Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!
Definitions:
Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)
On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).
Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!ent with this boy.
