My Story

These pictures were taken in May 2005 when Amos was about 8 months old. This is what his foster family in Arkansas has to say about Amos: "Amos is a wonderful boy. He is around 20-22 inches at the shoulder and very slender. He is very active and loves to play with his rope. He sits good on command and is doing very well with leash training. He is trying to learn how to play fetch. He does the "go get it" well, but still has trouble with "bring it back." Amos would enjoy an active family that enjoys walking, running, and playing. He is housetrained. (His forever family would have to reinforce this, as changes in living conditions sometimes cause a relapse for a short period of time) Amos is very smart, always eager to learn, and with a little encouragement learns quite easily. He plays well with other dogs, loves cats, does not bark excessively but is protective when a stranger shows up. My best description is that Amos is always happy. He is just a perfectly happy boy. It has been a real joy to foster Amos" 8/5/05 It is reported that Amos gets along great with cats, is very sweet and does not have a mean bone in his body. He is still waiting for his turn at adoption. 8/20/05 GOOD NEWS! Amos visited the vet today, he weighs 59.2 lbs and is fully grown. He also is Heartworm negative. ****THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR AN OVER CROWDED SHELTER IN ARKANSAS !! Almost Home Rescue will process your adoption. Applications can be found at www.almosthomerescue.net and should be e-mailed to [email protected]. **For more information on this particular dog: Please email: [email protected] These animals are in dire need of homes, if you cannot provide a forever home, sponsors & fosters are needed for heart worm dogs as well as healthy dogs. Even just fostering a healthy dog will help save lives!!!! **The Transportation from Arkansas, is a paid transport. The adoption fee is $200.00 for altered dogs. (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and transport from AR)
