Questions about our adoption process can generally be answered by reviewing the Adoption FAQ's. Amber is a sweet 3.5 lb terrier mix. Mama weighs 20 lbs and could have some Schnauzer in her. We expect the babies to be smaller like mama. Currently Amber and her siblings are just over 5 weeks old. Born 6/20/24. Mama was a stray brought into rescue just before delivering her 8 puppies. Amber and her 7 siblings are getting lots of love and socialization in their foster home. They are all typical puppies, very playful and loving. Their current favorite hobby is napping. Puppies are ready for adoption in three weeks from 7/27/24. We are listing early, to get a jump start on great homes. Hi there! My name is Amber, and I am a friendly and playful puppy. I love to run around and play with my doggy friends, but I am also a big fan of cuddles and naps. I am full of energy and very curious, so watch out because I may just be able to get into some trouble when I'm exploring my surroundings. Since I am just a puppy, I would probably do fine with dog friendly cats. I also would probably do well with respectful children. I am very affectionate and love to give kisses, so be ready for lots of licks! I am looking for a forever home that will give me lots of love and affection. NOTE: Please remember that Amber is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be. An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator. If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
